Weatherford Christian School Names New Head of School

Weatherford Christian School is excited to announce the selection of their new Head of School, Dr. Beth Riley.

Dr. Riley will be coming to WCS from an NCSA sister school, Fort Worth Christian.  Prior to her 24 years of service to FWC, Dr. Riley taught in Keller ISD for 3 years.  Her experience in education is wide ranging from elementary teacher, Elementary Interim Principal, Middle School Principal, Chief Operations Officer, and Interim President.

“When God gives you a new beginning, it starts with an ending. I am thankful for my time here at Fort Worth Christian and am eager to serve alongside the Weatherford Christian community. Thank you for welcoming me into the WCS family.”

Outgoing Head of School, Courtney Mckoewn will be serving WCS in a new role as the Director of Missions and Advancement. Mrs. McKeown requested to move into another position in order to spend more time with her family.

Mrs. McKeown said “I have loved my time as Head of School at WCS and am thankful to God that He has allowed me to be a part during these exciting years of growth. I am eagerly awaiting my transition into my new role working in the area of missions, that will allow me to work closely with our student body, as well as allowing me to spend more time with my family and growing daughters.  I am ecstatic about the incoming Head of School as I have known Dr. Riley for many years professionally and have great respect for her passion for Christian education, educational knowledge and business management. Her years of experience will be a huge blessing to WCS as we continue to move forward.”

Dr. Riley will be joining the WCS faculty beginning August 1, 2017.
